Harp Viola Flute Trios

Brussels Muzieque presents an intimate programme for one of chamber musics’ most luminous combinations: harp, flute and viola.

Matteo Del Monte (flute) is Principal Flute of La Monnaie / De Munt and formerly held the same chair with the Verdi Orchestra in Milan. Maja Dvoracek (harp) is Solo Harpist of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and an active chamber and solo performer across Europe. Monika Młynarczyk (viola) is co-principal viola of La Monnaie / De Munt and a core chamber artist of Brussels Muzieque, with appearances at festivals including Pablo Casals and Festival Musiq’3.

Together they explore colour and atmosphere in 20th-century chamber music: Richard Rodney Bennett’s Sonata after Syrinx; Arnold Bax’s Trio élégiaque; Paul Lewis’s Divertimento; and Claude Debussy’s music for flute, viola and harp — a shimmering repertoire that still defines this rare ensemble sound.
